Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect the personal data of our guests and visitors.

Last updated: July 2026

Who processes your data

Personal data collected through this website is processed by Abacatus Farmhouse, a rural tourism establishment at Sítio de São Pedro 670-A, 8800-562 Santa Luzia, Tavira, Portugal, registered under no. 9370.

For any question regarding your personal data, you may contact us at [email protected] or on +351 968 909 701.

What we collect

We collect only what you enter in the booking enquiry form: name, email address, telephone number, intended arrival and departure dates, number of guests, and any message you choose to leave.

We collect nothing you do not give us voluntarily. We neither request nor store credit card details on this website.

What it is used for

Your data is used solely to answer your enquiry, check availability and arrange your stay. It is not used for advertising or for building profiles.

We do not sell, rent or pass your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

On what legal basis

We process your data in order to respond to your enquiry and to take steps prior to a possible accommodation contract, at your request — Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Who else has access

Enquiries sent through the form are delivered by email using the Resend service, which handles the transmission of the message.

3HASH, responsible for the technical maintenance of this website, receives a copy of booking enquiries so it can confirm the form is working and that no enquiry is lost. It is bound by confidentiality and processes the data only on our instructions.

If you choose to book through the booking engine, you are taken to the Channex platform, which has its own terms and privacy policy.

For how long

Enquiries that do not result in a stay are kept only for as long as needed to deal with the contact, and are then deleted.

Where a stay takes place, data is kept for the periods required by applicable tax and tourism legislation.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses no tracking cookies, stores nothing on your device and carries no social media buttons that follow you across pages.

To know how many people visit the site and which pages are most sought after, we use Plausible Analytics, hosted on 3HASH's own servers in Portugal. Plausible uses no cookies, collects no personal data, does not follow visitors across sites and builds no profiles: it measures only aggregate totals — page views, country, device type and where the visit came from. We also record, equally anonymously, how many people open and complete a booking enquiry, so we can tell whether the process is working.

The only other request to an external service is made to display the current temperature in Tavira, to the Open-Meteo weather service, which receives the IP address from which the site is being viewed. No identifier is used and no record of that request is kept.

Your rights

You may at any time ask us for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, object to processing, or request data portability. Simply write to [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, at www.cnpd.pt.

Changes to this policy

Should this policy change, the updated version will be published on this page together with its date. We recommend that you consult it whenever you send us an enquiry.
